Aarohan 2025
Performance
This year’s Aarohan 2025 was an unforgettable experience, not just for the performance itself but for the incredible people I met along the way. Competing in the Instrumentals Category, I had the opportunity to connect with fellow musicians from universities across Pune and even Mumbai. The event brought together a rich variety of talent—tabla players, harmonium players, pianists, drummers, flutists, and many more. Each performance was captivating in its own way, making the entire event feel like a celebration of music rather than just a competition.
One of the best parts of Aarohan was the time spent backstage, exchanging stories and musical insights with other performers. There’s something special about inter-college events—the energy, the shared passion, and the friendships that form instantly over a love for music. Being one of the few performers from MIT WPU itself, I also had the chance to show some of the other participants around campus, which made the experience even more fulfilling.
What made the event even more special was the support from my friends. From day-before jam room practices to cheering me on in the crowd, they were there every step of the way. Walking on stage for a solo performance again was a mix of excitement and nostalgia, and having familiar faces in the audience made it all the more meaningful.
In the end, Aarohan 2025 felt less like a competition and more like a musical gathering, where talent, dedication, and mutual admiration for music took center stage. I’m grateful for the experience and already looking forward to the next one!
